Paphos

Paphos is the capital of Cyprus' western region. It consists of two distinct areas: The towns are of 'Kito or Ktima
Paphos' which is slightly inland and the coastal resort area 'Kato Paphos'.
Famous for it's fishing harbour and offering many open-air café, restaurants and
shops situated along a pedestrianised seaside promenade. Among it's attractions
are it's ancient mosaic floors, beautiful old harbour & Fort, along with modern
hotels and restaurants. Many boat excursions are available from the harbour
waterfront; other sights include an archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle
of Paphos, Tombs of the Kings, St. Paul's Pillar, Sea Caves and the Temple of
Aphrodite.
Paphos was named a UNESCO World Heritage Town in 1980.

Tombs of the Kings

Situated in Kato Paphos along Tomb of the Kings Road.
Opening hours are: Monday - Sunday 07.30 - 17.00
These impressive underground tombs date back to the 4th century B.C. They are
carved out from solid rock, some decorated with Doric pillars. The magnificence of
the tombs gives the locality its name. Originally a Christian catacomb retaining 12th
century frescoes. There is a sacred tree nearby which is believed to cure the sick.
Coral Bay
Coral Bay is a delightful resort situated about 12kms west from Pahpos. The
main road is lined with a selection of shops, restaurants banks and bars, giving
you everything you want for a fun relaxed day out. The sandy beach and shallow
waters make it ideal for children. Also offers a wide range of water sports for
the more adventurous, including a PADI dive centre, in fact perfect for all the
family.
Latchi (Latsi or Lakki) is 36k from Paphos on the North West corner of Cyprus. A
lovely little fishing village, where the best fish taverns can be found. Wide range
of water sports are available here including; Diving, motorboat hire, fishing trips
and boat excursions to the Akamas peninsular.
Latchi & Polis
Nearby is Polis, a market town for this area which still remains remarkably unspoilt. The famous baths of Aphrodite
are close to Latchi.
